Community Bible Reading

I have been asked if I can initiate some form of Bible study on the Facebook page so, having discussed it with Willem, here it is.

COMMUNITY BIBLE READING ONLINE

We are reading through the Gospel of John using the Community Bible Reading format some of us have already been using. Five days a week I will post the pages for the day which you can read as/when you want to. I will leave the weekend days for catch up and for us to enjoy the online worship that is available.

The points to ponder each week are:

  • What’s something you noticed for the first time?
  • What questions did you have?
  • Was there anything that bothered you?
  • What did you learn about loving God?
  • What did you learn about loving others?

You can post any responses as a comment on this page or on the St Oran’s Connel and Dunbeg Community Bible Reading group page.

The Samaritans believed the woman’s testimony but now they heard Jesus for themselves. What a privilege!!
LORD – when have I heard you and how? Through my teachers and preachers for sure. Crying through the TV at pain and injustice, in the words of non believers which have surprised me, in encouragement to keep going when times are tough, in dreams I wake from during the night & in the all too few minutes I dedicate to listening to you in prayer. Thank you for these times when I’ve been with you & heard you speak in all these different ways. Open our ears, Lord, and let us hear.
