It can be viewed in St Oran’s Church in Connel. We have been advised that offers over £80 could be expected. If interested please contact mary.thomson7@hotmail.co.uk or marion.fisher46@gmail.com .

Here are a selection of pictures taken at our Christmas Fayre on the 7th of December. It was a delight to have our new minister and his family join us at this happy event. Many thanks to everyone who helped in any way with, and came along, especially to the young people who entertained us with music, and from the school who made cards, candles and headbands to sell. A great time was had by all.

On 28th November we joined together with members of Ardchattan Parish for the induction of our new minister Rev. Willem Bezuidenhout. The service was led by Mr Douglas Allan, the Moderator of The Presbytery of Argyll, and Mr W Stewart Shaw, Presbytery Clerk. Rev Scott Burton, recently inducted into the charge of Gigha and Cara lw Kilcalmonell lw Killean and Kilchenzie, preached.

After the service we were piped along to the village hall where a buffet supper was laid out and some entertainment had been arranged.

We look forward to exploring God's will for us in this new time of ministry.

We’re preparing for Christmas now. The crafters have been busy preparing for our Christmas Fayre on 7th December. Mark the date in your diary and come along to see what they have made. At the same time browse our large collection of second hand books, buy some home baking or preserves and enjoy morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea with us.

A big thank you to everybody who contributed in any way to the Shoe Box Appeal, enabling us to gather and distribute 42 shoeboxes. Ann has now despatched them to Blythswoosd Care. The shoeboxes  they received last year were distributed in Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine.

On the 6th of October we had our harvest thanksgiving services. Rev Carol Leech challenged us to see how many words we could make using the letters from the word “harvest”. She gave us some examples; have, heart, share, starve. How many more can you make?

Here are some photos of the flowers donated by the congregation of St Oran’s. After the service the flowers were distributed to people in the community unable to join us this morning.

Here are the trophy winners and some pictures from our Annual Exhibition of Flowers, Vegetables and Baking held on the 7th September.
